August is quite an action packed adventure month. On the Leo-Aquarius axis we explore our creative expression, authenticity, and relationship to community involvement verses personal expression and leadership. Leo is the star of this show (and every show really) due to the solar eclipse and Jupiter moving into Leo for the year.
Our full moon in Aquarius illuminates our relationship to groups,
communities, and associations. Aquarius is a future thinking, group oriented sign. In groups, it balances challenging internal emotions and supports emotional detachment to support collective visioning. Aquarius rules the endocrine system, thyroid and hormonal systems of the body, as well as the calves and achilles tendon.
The full moon indicates something coming to light around groups, authenticity, and and individuality. There can be completion or coming to fruition of this realm in your life. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, and always has an element of surprise, freedom and expansion from limitations, so that is fun.
Leo and Aquarius will both be in the spotlight over the next year due to the eclipse pairs happening on this axis. Although energy in general will be going towards Aquarius and away from Leo due to the nodes, in August Leo is the star on all levels. A full Solar eclipse, with the path of totality in northern Spain occurs on August 12. A solar eclipse has the power of 6 new moons, so opens a major new beginning in the Leo part of your personal chart. In Leo, ruled by the sun, there is a beautiful focus on the heart, as Leo rules the heart. Leo brings boldness, optimism, leadership, and a profound playful creativity. The eclipse will bring into sharper relief where authority or leadership feels performative rather than genuine, and allow more substantialness in, to support true confidence to develop. The eclipse season which is August - October 2026 and March - May 2027 will explore authenticity, personal expression, eclipses tend to quickly add or remove from your life, in order to recalibrate.
Removing old ideas thoughts, outworn reactions or behaviors and bringing in fresh new energies. You will be encouraged to connect to the most authentic version of self available, and let go of as much external validation and false props as you can over this season. The eclipses inspire deep heart connection, emotional detachment for clarity, deeper connection to authenticity, joining or strengthening groups and community, letting go of unconscious pulling for external validation. Using your creativity for greater good than just your own personal gratification.
