Full Moon in Capricorn June 29th, New Moon in Cancer July 14  The Cancer and Capricorn axis is always a powerful one because it  is a Cardinal Axis. 

Cardinal basically means “essential”, so Cancer, Capricorn, Libra,  and Aries are Cardinal axis’s because they rule and initiate the  basic foundational building blocks of life as a human being. Home/ family, work in the world, partnership/marriage/ and the identity of  self. It is from the solid foundation of the Cardinal signs that we are  able to branch out into creativity, art, body care, fun, groups and  associations, travel and learning new things. 

So when the moon illuminated the Cancer/Capricorn polarity, we  are always looking at home/private life verses work/public life,  Mother/Father energies, unconditional love and self care verses  discipline and boundaries. Attachments and love are ruled by  Cancer, while achievements and rewards/punishments are ruled by Capricorn. 

The full moon in Capricorn on June 29th illuminates something  coming to fruition in terms of work or boundaries. It is called The  Strawberry moon, to indicate the short growing season of wild  strawberries. Mercury stations retrograde the same day so there  can be misunderstandings in communication. Additionally the next  day Jupiter moves into Leo for a full year. Jupiter is the planet of  luck and expansion and in Leo he is extra expressive, artistic, and  flashy. Whichever house Leo sits in your chart will get a boost of  luck and good vibes. 

The New moon in Cancer on July 14. Cancer rules the past and so  this new moon may allow some releasing of past family Karma or  “programming” especially with some intense aspects from Pluto, there is a sense that past family issues can be more easily released  and transmuted and new beginnings in self-nurturing, family, self  love, and matters of the home and feeling of home, open up for the  next six months, in the Cancer house of your chart. It is a great time  to conceive if that is your aim.
