Scorpio New Moon 2026, Welcome to Scorpio season, we kicked it off early with Venus retrograde in Scorpio which is still happening as I write this article. Venus dips in and out of Scorpio for 40 days and 40 nights, giving its path a mythic quality.
There is a New Moon in Scorpio on November 9. The Northern hemisphere, begins getting a little crisper and colder, the leaves change to red, orange, and gold. We begin to reflect a little deeper in Scorpio. Astrology is all about patterns, and as the ruler of the psyche, Scorpio season invites us to reflect NOT on what the planets are or are not doing, but what patterns continually show up in our lives to be transformed.
Wherever Scorpio is in our chart carries just a bit more weight, more gravitas. Scorpio rules the bottom of the Ocean, the place where it is so dark that creatures develop without eyes, they instead have to use other forms of sensory perception. Scorpio is the sign of all that is mysterious, so it makes sense that there are still parts of the ocean that are so deep we have never seen or had access to them.
Your question for this month is "what patterns keep showing up in my life over and over again, just waiting to be transformed?" The Death Card and the King of Cups, in Tarot are great representations of Scorpio energy. The Death card invites us to look at what needs to be let go of fully in our lives in order for something new to be born. The King of cups represents emotional mastery, and calm intuition beneath intense feelings.

Scorpio season is designed to support deep healing and transformation. Then on November 21 we transition to Sagittarius season and things start to get a bit lighter. Venus and Mercury are no longer retrograde and I will break it down next month!
